What is Forever Family Therapy?

Forever Family Therapy is an organization that aims to provide exceptional mental health treatment, psycho-education and comprehensive case management to children, teenagers, young adults and families in the Central Oregon area. We believe in meeting our clients, exactly where they are; whether that be in their homes, at our office or in the community regardless of their family structure, or current challenges they may be facing.

Our love and commitment to supporting families, from children to young adults and parents in the Central Oregon area inspired the Forever Family name: FOREVER will we be dedicated to supporting healthy kids and families that can remain together in the community! “Forever homes” is a coined name for families that include adopted or foster children. It is also our passion to deliver treatment and support specific to kids and families that include foster or adopted children because we know that families such as these experience unique challenges and have distinct differences. Contact us today to begin to journey toward creating your family vision! We can’t wait to meet you!

Education & Experience.

EDUCATION

Each Forever Family therapist has earned a Masters Degree in Social Work, School Counseling or Clinical Mental Health Counseling from an accredited program. Each therapist meets Oregon’s criteria as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and is either an independently licensed professional (LPC, LCSW) or in the process of earning their license with the Oregon Board of Licensed Social Workers as a Clinical Social Work Associate (CSWA). Regardless of which degree your therapist has earned, each Forever Family Therapy therapist is an informed professional, eager to support their clients.

EXPERIENCE

Each Forever Family Therapist has demonstrated that their prior experience in the field equips them to deliver specialized mental health treatment specifically to children and families. This requirement is because prior therapy experience with adults or the geriatric community only doesn’t always translate well to therapy with children and teens. Every client can find comfort in knowing their therapist has successfully worked with and supported children and families during their career and takes joy in continuing to do so.

CLINICAL STYLE

At Forever Family Therapy we are not four-walls therapists. We go outside of our office, we come to you and do so happily. We adapt our clinical style of treatment delivery to match where the family or child is currently at without the expectation the family change to meet our expectations. We implement creative interventions that “break the rules” of traditional therapy. We believe our client’s are the expert of their own lives and, in order to create change, we must learn from the family first before expecting the family to learn from us. We work as a team with our family’s to create or find the best means of achieving success, and success is defined by the family, not the therapist.
